Hi Pet Parents!
Aching joints and bones are no fun for anyone, let alone our beloved pooches who can’t tell us where it hurts or when it hurts!
We try to feed the best diets, and provide just the right amount of exercise to keep them happy and healthy for as long as possible, but sometimes they just need that little extra helping hand along the way. Some dogs can develop joint problems as early as 1 year old but especially as they move into their more senior years with 80% of dogs being reported of having problems in their senior years.
Signs of joint problems include:
• Stiffness, lameness, or limping after lying down
• Reluctance to walk up stairs, run, jump, or play
• Changes in appetite
• Lethargy
• Sudden irritability when touched or petted
• Loss of muscle mass in the rear limbs
• Difficulty with urinating or sudden accidents in the house
If any of these symptoms occur it is always important to mention them to your vet so they can advise and investigate further if needed. There are things we can do as owners, however, to help our furry companions and Joint supplements are one of those things. They are safe to use long term and can help with inflammation and pain, help improve movement and also help slow down progressive damage.
